THRIVING THURSDAY

We have made it home.  We have mixed feelings about coming home.  We had a wonderful time away.  Our visit with H, W, R, L and E was fantastic.  The idea of returning to their home after the cruise was one of the wisest decisions we have made.  By staying the extra day we were able to drive home in excellent weather conditions.  We arrived home to 67 degrees which tied a 20 year old record.

We unpacked the 7 suitcases and I now have loads of laundry.  Of course some of the clothes probably won’t be worn for another 3 months when summer arrives.  The house was welcoming.  Our neighbour D took fabulous care.  The plants are thriving as well.  Our mail was sorted so I could open the important mail first.

We have several invitations to follow up on.  March was busy last year with the arrival of lots of babies so they are celebrating their first birthdays.  I should have done more shopping at Carter’s yesterday as it was Grandparent Day and I got an extra 10% off.  Oh well hindsight is 20/20 and it is too far to go back.

D H is getting organized so that he can do the taxes.  All of the paperwork is in.  He also had some other computer work to do.  We are also glad to be able to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy again.

We are also planning our next trip back to the States in May.  Just a short jaunt and not the major trip in the summer which is on the count-down clock.  We have learned some packing lessons for that cruise. Fortunately we have enough clothes that we could probably repack right now.

We will get back into the swing of things at home.  We have a lot of catching up to do We thrive on each new challenge and adventure..
